Janet, not sure what you mean by the inside of the pea! There are two light sources, the lightbox below the split open pea pod is transilluminating the pod, but that light wouldn't be able to go through the peas. If you look closely, there are highlights reflecting off the left SURFACE of each pea. That light source was a fluorescent lamp just outside the view of camera left :) #1086080
