Sad Eyes - Deep in thoughts !!
Uploaded: October 13, 2008
On my way back from shooting the sunrise from atop the Margalla Hills the other day, I found this wild monkey calmly perched on a small rock in the hills.
I kept getting closer, one step at a time, and sat about 5 feet from him but he seemed to be totally un-perturbed by my proximity. It was then that I closely looked at his face and was awe-struck by the intense emotions he exhibited which I tried to capture here.
Removed some blemishes on its fir, applied blur, and did some minor tweaking in PS and Picassa.
Would appreciate your thoughts on the expression on its face.
Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Far reaching wisdom...total capture of my attention. I would sit next to this little fellow. His expression has the wear of time and acceptance. Could be mean as a snake for all we know...my husband can have that look sometimes!! Ha. Just kidding. Love this. Patti #6600273Stephen Zacker October 15, 2008

Unbelievable that he let you get that close! Clearly he was lost in thought and you captured his mood beautifully. Focusing the image on his eyes just emphasizes the mood. Wonderfully done! #6605627Janice Mezzacappa October 15, 2008

What a beautiful face and wonderful capture, Usman. Your title says it all! She really is deep in thoughts and looks so sad. I was so moved by her apperance and as much by your story. What a wonderful experience it must have been being so close to this gorgeous creature. Such a beautiful portrait. #6611923Deb Koskovich November 11, 2008
Excellent work, Usman. One has to wonder if he is as said as he looks, or perhaps he is just lost in reverie. #6738424Chris Ebben November 22, 2008
The poor bugger, it looks sad & tired. Some of them have terribly hard lives. A great telling image all the same, well presented=^..^= #6787801Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
