Eagle One

Uploaded: October 05, 2008

Description

Another one for the "Frac" lovers! Shot this eagle while it was inside the cage and me outside. Got a decent image, but thought that by adding the 'frac', it would be even better with all its feather textures. It did! Duplicated the layer prior to 'frac' application. Applied the frac to the duplicate layer. Masked out the eye to reveal the authentic eye on the layer below. I did this to have a sense of 'reality' and life on the eagle. Crop closely to 'fill my frame'. Framed NatGeo style. Uploaded and entered into the Digital Darkroom category. Enjoy!!!

BTW, was just on Amazon.com looking at some books for my dad for Christmas (yes, it's NEVER too early to start shopping! LOL) and discovered that Amazon allows you to not only self-publish books through them, but to sell them as well! Here's the link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/seller-account/mm-summary-page.html?ie=UTF8&ld=AZFooterSelfPublish&topic=200260520

Now, get to work! LOL! #6556531

Very nice, Ulysses! I like both versions, but the richness of the frac image, with the close crop and border, really set him off well! #6557861

Both versions of the image are great, but the Frac filter set it off. How do you get a Frac filter? #6562135

This is fantastic! The frac filter is one of my favorites, Ulysses. It doesn't work well on everything but is STRIKING on others!

HOME RUN with this one, little brother.

I miss you! Hope you are well!
