Thanks to all you guys, Kathleen, Arya, Cindy, Sanjay, Kara and Adilson.
Cindy, I live in SE Texas just across the Louisiana line so we have swamps and bayous aplenty down here. This was actually taken in a local park. It is a huge pond with cypress trees and "gators" and ducks. I couldn't find a gator to shoot, though. #1064869

Laura Berman 1/27/2005 4:50:43 AM

You've really created an unusual, beautiful, atmospheric image here Marsha. It has such a surreal quality to it but I imagine that it is closer to the feeling of the real swamp than a straight photo of it is. Well done! I hope we see more of it mid month. #1066264

Marsha S. Smith 1/27/2005 12:04:54 PM

Thank you so much Laura for those kind words. Sometimes I worry that I go overboard on the post processing so its nice to get positive feedback. Thanks again. #1067078

Marsha S. Smith 1/31/2005 6:45:36 PM

Thank you so much, Paula. I am kind of new to Photoshop so I just grab an image and apply every filter to it until I find one that works. Sometimes it works - sometimes it doesn't. I am learning with every step though. I appreciate the boost from comments like yours. #1075963

Cora Miller 2/2/2005 9:26:57 PM

Thank you so much Odelia. Down here in SE Texas we have a lot of "swamps". With a little help from Photoshop and Virtual Photographer you can transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. #1144274
