Beautiful Capture Inge! I live in Washington, and let me tell you it's one of the most beautiful places in the world! (Granted it rains alot) Wonderful Photo, and I like the underwater rocks too! =D #6455105

It's a very pretty shot, but the balance is off. #6455111

Inge Johnsson September 14, 2008

Ellen, thanks for the comment. Could you please clarify which balance that is off? Colors, horizon, exposure in sky vs tarn? #6455137

Hi Inge, I've been looking at this for ten minutes, to try and clarify it to myself and what I might have done differently. I wish I had an uncropped version to get some other perspective. But, what I can tell you is that my eye keeps going off the page on top. It's a little top heavy. I would not suggest putting the grass line in the middle, but maybe just pulling the whole thing down a bit. #6455155

And I understood your wanting to bring balance by placing the rocks where you did. Perhaps if those rocks were a little darker it would have kept my eye on the whole page. But the tone is too close to the tones of the water to do that for me. #6455161
