This is another locality which celebrates the Santa Maria feast. In all, 7 different localities in Malta and Gozo celebrate the feast. Here in Malta this feast is greatly celebrated as it was on this day that food from the Santa Maria convoy during WWII arrived in Malta. If it had not most probably Malta would have ended in enemy hands as the shortage of food and other supplies was at the very end.
This is Gudja church very close to my home.
