This is adorable - love it! Bixby is awesome! #17905

Thanks so much Joy. Bixby generally tries to get as many toys as he can into his mouth and then comes to show me (I think his all-time high is 4), but I never seem to have my camera around when he does. :-) #38554

Very cute and nicely photographed! Great dog portrait, Patricia! We have a dog that won't come and greet us unless he has some toy in his mouth also. He usually sticks to one at a time though :-) #38558

This is great, Patricia! #38787

Thank you Gary, Carolyn, Lorraine and Carol. As you can see, this is a well-worn toy of Bixby's. Luckily, he just likes to mouth the toys rather than destroy them. Flyer the Aussie is the one who likes to mangle and destroy 'em. :-) I appreciate all your comments on my "baby." :-) #38941

I came home from work tonight, and out of the many toys Bixby has, he comes running toward me with this one in his mouth! Somehow, he knew. :-) Thank you all very much. And Bixby thanks you too. #55125

Cathy M. Gromball May 26, 2019

Congratulations on finals, Patricia! This is an adorable shot, and I love the look in Bixby's eye, like, "Paws off, it's mine!" Bixby is gorgeous!

Thank you, Cathy. Sorry for the delay in responding. The Dallas area's weird ice storm kept me stranded downtown near work for a couple of days until I could get home. I was so happy to see this cute face when I was finally able to return. #60272

Wayyyyyy cute!!! Love it. Judy #85961

Patricia Marroquin May 26, 2019

Thank you, Judy. I treat Bixby like a baby in that I'm constantly buying him new stuffed chew toys, which overflow a basket in the family room or are left in every room in the house. Every time he gets up to go into another room, he's gotta get a toy in his mouth. His security blanket, I think. :-) #86181

Just Ducky is fantastic! It's sharp, the expression is priceless; the composition is great!

How did you manage to get this? When I get my camera out my dog stops what she's doing and goes the other way.

I even tried photographing some of the feral cats I feed, as they do wild stunts in my presence, as long as I'm not behind a camera. Take the camera out and they are gone!

Did sneak up on Bixby with a 70-200 mm lens on a tripod? #953105

How did you manage to get this? When I get my camera out my German Shorthair stops what she's doing and evacuates the area.

When we drive, she hangs out the back window and screeches with delight at the other cars. But when I stop and try to photograph her, she lies down in the back seat.

Hi Susan. Thanks so much for your message. You know, I got very lucky with this shot. Because both Bixby and our Aussie, Flyer, are just like your German shorthair and the feral cats. They'll look sooooo cute and then I get my camera out (a 10D and now a 20D with a 28-300 lens) and they turn away or move away. I'll tell you my theory on how I was able to get this shot. At that time, I was using a very small Canon PowerShot G3. It's so unobtrusive and it takes excellent portraits and closeups. He didn't shy away from me then. :-) #954719

This is an adorable shot Patricia!
I love Golden Retrievers - have one named Tess. She is our resident clown!
I also have 3 White German Shepherds, & an American Pit Bull Terrier. Your gallery is outstanding, & a pure delight to view!! ~Pam~ #2302557

Thank you so much, Pam! Wow, you have your hands full with all those pooches! I don't think I've seen a white German shepherd. ... Thank you for your compliments on my gallery. :-) #2309961
