I think the strong silhouette in this image creates a good graphic design. What I like about it is that the initial impact is the silhouette but that the closer you look, the more detail is seen. This was my favourite image taken at the Grand Canyon last year - we were there very early (took a 5 am flight from Las Vegas!) and the sun was bright but low and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. I was attracted to the tree-line that descended along the cliff. Later in photoshop I was able to pull out some of the details.
