Wow…dramatic subject change.

So let’s talk for a while about your new work.

I think “Talk” is important and since you are using a short depth of field that would be my target although in product shots the brand is what matters.

Studio lights usually give you problems with reflective surfaces. In those situations you can either feather the light or try a double diffusion technique which will help you soften those reflections specially the one in the “Talk” button.

That's my favorite lens BTW.

Thanks Protacio - I did not focus on the brand name on purpose, since this was not a commissioned shot, rather something to play with lights and shadows - I wanted the "Talk" button to be half in the shadows so as not to be too obvious in the title.
I used two soft boxes and a direct light with barn doors right at the Talk button, 45 degrees angle. The phone is metallic silver and I can't even tell you the meter readings I got out of that one! So I balanced with an 18% gray card and there it was!
This was just for fun - I'm still working at the new series!
