Stabat Mater (Sorrowful Mother)
Uploaded: June 22, 2008
The grieving Mother stood
beside the cross weeping
where her Son was hanging.
Through her weeping soul,
compassionate and grieving,
a sword passed.
Ten days ago, my camera and lens fell on the ground. The lens was broken. So was my heart. While I was unable to go out to shoot, I was listening to Antonio Vivaldi’s “Stabat Mater.” Then, I was struck with an inspiration.
Composite of 11 photos taken at 6 different locations.
