Thank you Aimee. :) Oh you should have SEEN all the stuff I had set up. It started out being "What is the meaning of life" but life got so meaningful it was spread all over the place and too large to shoot! The were all representations...ie: Apple=health, Candle=Be a light, Elephants=Good Fortune, etc...GLAD I NARROWED IT DOWN!!!

I need to rent more kids shows. I'd love to see the Island of Misfit toys. We never had children so we rent ACTION or COMEDY mainly. Thanks lady for stopping to comment! :) -Laura

Looks like it will be the last EP I ever get since they aren't giving them out anymore and I am not able to enter the contest. They changed the rules. Folks with only 30 shot galleries can no longer enter pictures into the contest! :(

Thank you so much, Cheryle. I have several collector types of dolls and figurines at home and these two were an odd couple but seemed to be right for each other! She looked like a person concerned like a mama would be. I love this shot the MOST because of her expression. I positioned her face to the light so it would be a man focus. Hmmm ... that baby doesn't look like its mother! ... Oh, I get it ... It's the babysitter! Its mother better not see her trying to hush up her kid like that! LOL! Just having some fun with you, Sis! Actually do you know what this made me think of?

A single parent with her hungry child, not knowing what the future would hold. She looks so concerned gazing out of the window..."What will we do without food and money?" (To me anyway)...Also it reminded me of Germany when the Jewish families hid in secret rooms and had to keep quiet when the soldiers would near.

I do like your renditions, however. If you would like to share your personal stories of being babysat or BEING THE BABY SITTER below feel free! AHAHAHAHHAHA! I love it and I love YOU!

I certainly never saw this intriguing still life when you first entered it in 2008, and I'm kinda glad I didn't... Your latest comments help explain why I originally saw it as such a serious image : Anne Frank, et. al.
And, still, a beautifully done "collage" of meaningful symbols. Especially the little elephant... Pom, I wish you good - make that GREAT! - fortune of every kind throughout 2012!
