These geraniums grow wild in the Scillies and large as unlike on the mainland they do not suffer from frost so they just keep growing and growing

Lovely colors, Kate, and the light suggests a perfect Spring day!Kate Jackson June 11, 2008
Thanks Mary. The geraniums we buy in the shops do not resemble these either but it is my belief that the ones in the shops called geraniums are actually pelagoniums. These I have been told are the real geraniums. And no they are not tied off. This is how they grow. The bottom half almost looks like roots doesn't it? #6046090Dr Silly June 11, 2008

Great shot Kate ~ I have these growing wild in my garden too .. can't say I've noticed the roots like that but then I have masses of them so I can't see the stems ~ will have to take a look tomorrow! #6053162Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
