Description

This is my first East Coast keeper. It is a long and rather humorous story. I was on my way to visit the in-laws for the first time. Had to stop and catch this shot. An hour and a half later.... First impressions you know...

LOL. Just give them a framed print of this beauty and I'm sure all will be forgiven ;) Great shot, wonderful color and composition! #6030981

What a BREATHTAKING capture!!! There's such beauty in simplicity... Aren't you glad you stopped? After they see this I'm sure they'll understand :o)) #6031755

Thanks all of you for your kind remarks.

People often wonder why this image is so blue. It had been a brisk early spring day and the sky was crystal clear. The sun had just gone down. The pond is surrounded by trees so at dusk the only light is from a sky that was turning a very dark blue. A tripod and a willing model, the duck was very still, all helped to pull this shot together. #6034452
