F/2.8, 1/400th, ISO 200, 70-200mm f/2.8 IS. After listening to a photography podcast where the guest challenged you to find the exceptional in the ordinary, I took a break from typesetting newspaper ads and walked the parking lot. (OK, lucky for me the parking lot is in Hawaii.)

Thanks, Karen. I was poking around in the bushes around the parking lot and I think my coworkers inside thought I was being a peeping Tom to the condos nextdoor.#5964202

What a beautiful shot ! #6096888Terrie Eliker June 23, 2008
Thanks Sharon and Tania.Yes, Sharon, my photos are taken on Maui. I moved here 20 (yikes) years ago and have worked for the last 12 years designing (I use that word loosely) newspaper ads. With the newspaper world becoming more unstable I decided to get back to photography and digital just has me hooked. I've spent more than a decade making Photoshop composites of other people's images. Now I get to use mine.
(I've actually used the plumeria shot in two freelance graphic design jobs.) #6097849
