My Hero
Uploaded: May 13, 2008
Well...It's been one year and two months since Cole died. I can't say it's gotten a lot easier or less painful but I've found ways to turn my sorrow into something positive. I recently gave an interview on our local news about organ donation and what it's meant to me. I also spoke on front of 600+ people at a luncheon where over $300,000.00 was raised in support of the Living Legacy Foundation which is an organization that facilitates organ donation and helps to educate the public about donation. Cole helped save the lives of five people with his donations. I am confident I will see him again someday and will carry him in my heart forever. Cole will always be my Hero.

Thank you so much Angela! It's so good to hear from you...I've been kinda out of it for awhile. My daughter was cleaning her room when she found my old camera which had this picture and even some video of Cole!

This is a beautiful picture, I'm so sorry to hear about your son. I'm sure that you have brought a lot of hope to a lot of people through your speeches and the money raised at that luncheon! #5918316Molly A. O May 13, 2008

God bless you, Marta and Cole. Cole lives on not only through you, but through those five people he saved. Both of you are heroes. Very sweet picture of what looked to be a great young guy. #5920601Marta J. Baldwin May 14, 2008
Thank you very much Laura...Cole was truly a good person and whoever got his heart is the luckiest person because Cole had the biggest heart of any young man I've ever known. #5921806Nikki McDonald May 26, 2008
Excellent photo--the black and white was a good choice as it really lets his face be the focal point and he seems to be addressing us directly. Wonderful dedication. My thoughts continue to be with you, Marta. #5978121Marta J. Baldwin May 26, 2008
