Rainbow Below Yosemite Falls

Uploaded: April 16, 2008

Description

Catching a colorfully vibrant rainbow is every photographer's dream shot! It can also be difficult as our camera does not always see it the same way as our eyes. A circular polarizer will sometimes help bring out the spectrum of colors. Sometimes it's just plain good luck. In this shot I also used a Neutral Density #4 filter so I could use a slower shutter speed. I didn't want silky smoothness, but I didn't want frozen water droplets either.
