Description

*****

This is Liberty, a magnificent, 14-pound, Bald Eagle.
Founders of the Institute for Environmental Learning, Paul and Anne Schnell, along with this beautiful raptor, educate the community about environmental conservation. Paul rehabilitated Liberty back to health after he suffered a broken wing almost 20 years ago. I was fortunate enough to meet Paul, Anne, and Liberty at The Wildlife Festival in Lewiston, NY.

Third time's the charm, Lisa!
This version benefits considerably from the darkening effects and smoother background, while retaining every bit of the fierce expression you originally captured.
Poor little fish...so defenseless against its captor...I like your interpretation of the relationship between these two a LOT, Lisa.
Hope to see this again next month! #5699852

G'day Lisa,

A most worthy recipient of the Editor's Pick and more, this wonderful, proud eagle sits well in the frame ready to enjoy its fishy lunch.

Wonderful light, exposure and processing combined with excellent depth of field and focus, mixed well with glorious natural colours and topped off with a nice contrast, is a real winner.
Great work that girl!
