Description

The Check List: Man in Pottery
1. Evaluate Your Image :: It seems like there is a story in this image which I would like to tell. The little things (the watch hanging on the wall, his personal belongings) and the ancient art of the old potter. I like the spinning wheel. The image has meaning to me.

2. Crop / Horizon Check :: I always want to make photos like this long and shallow and this is another example. The panorama of his daily work, interwoven with his life. Crop top and botton but leave the personal belongings to show who he is AND what he does. I also think it works in portrait orientation as a character study of the man himself and I’d like to work on that, too.

3.General Color Correction :: More contrast, especially to differentiate the gray clay from the light-coloured wall. Bring out the pinks in the wall. Lighten and brighten the overall colour as though sunlight is coming in through the door (it was).

4.Fix Damage/ Eliminate Dust / Debris :: Minor corrections.
