Cathy,

thanks for the comment. this was a rather impromptu moment...I love the expression on her face...you can tell there is so much on her mind. I burned the edges out in photoshop to make it a really grainy, contrasty image...to give it a "fleeting moment" type of feel. the negative space on the left really seems like a place where words could go...perhaps her thoughts or maybe the observers interpretations of her expression. I am sure that is much more than you expected...but thanks so much for the comment Cathy. Your consistency in commenting is quite refreshing.

I love your style Ryan. It is beautiful! #24135

Hey Ryan, I would love to see some of the stages of this picture (if there are more than 2). From raw scanned to the final with the burned out edges. If you could possibly post at least the original that would be sweet.

BTW, I really like this image too. I think you're really starting to do an INCREDIBLE job at capturing people, and that's probably my all time favorite subject. Cause they are so real! #24343

Thanks Pat...I really appreciate your comments and value your opinion...I do have the original and I am almost afraid to upload it because I did such serious modification to it in photoshop. but it was her face that saved the original and is why I chose to crop out so much to just leave her. I will post it soon...just got to work up the nerve. By the way, Jessica, thank you so much for your kind words...they are very appreciated.

cool, I like to see the stages when you go play with it in Photoshop! And I don't know why, but this photo gives me a funny feeling... like an old-timey picture... or a grandpa feeling for some reason! or am I just strange?! #28227
