A Basket-Weaver's Workshop (Chincha, Peru)
August 23, 2005
Xero Graphics Bad Dream and Redfield's Fractalius filters applied.
I met Domitila Almeyda de Tasayco in her workshop in Chincha, Peru.
She told me basketry was a craft she had inherited from her mother's family.
In fact, Domitila is one of the most renowned basket-weavers in my country
and the beautiful objects she creates are the result of long hours of hard work, patience and love.
Domitila weaves dreams and makes them beautiful.
