Erika and Kathleen, thanks so much for looking and for your wonderful comments! I really was unsure about the outcome of this experiment, so I really appreciate your feedback :) #5483472Scott A. McDaniel February 16, 2008
Susan - this is marvelous. I think the thought process is quite brilliant and so is the capture. #5501291Susan M. Smith February 17, 2008
Thanks Scott, I really appreciate the positive feedback! I've become quite a fan of using mirrors, now I just have to find out how to get a flood filter :) #5506428Scott A. McDaniel February 17, 2008
I'm with you on that one but I gotta be honest, I like this a bit better. Every time I seed a flood filter photo now I just think, "oh a flood filter", with this I stared at it for 10 minutes and couldn't figure out what you did. Thanks for letting us know how you did it. #5506722Susan M. Smith February 18, 2008
Scott, you make a very good point! I have seen the flood filter used quite a bit also. Every now and then it's used in a "unique" way, but you are right, it's become common. I also used the water on the mirror in the Feb Flowers pic.I really appreciate the feedback on this and I'm happy to share the info. It's good to know what methods produce a different effect, especially when they're cheap :) lol
ps - I hope the judges stare at it for 10 mins too! #5510892

Just remember, if they don't, it doesn't make it any less beautiful and creative...its just opinions. Good luck anyway. #5511284Leslie McLain February 20, 2008

Susan, you have such great creativity! This is really beautiful, and so well done...love the idea and result. #5574335Susan M. Smith March 01, 2008
Thank you Teresa. I think the winter days almost force creativity, indoors anyway. That, and getting to eat your props!! :) #5577554Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
