Denny, I think you're right. This cropping does add a more pleasing feel and leads the viewer in nicely. I know what you mean about the sky being overly hazy when you captured the image. All the uncontrollables are what make it fun. Regardless of what anybody else says your images must be pleasing to you. The sky forms a "check mark" at the top of your image and if perhaps you kept the bottom it may provide you with the depth you are looking for. Either way, nicely captured and processed. Good luck.
