Life in a Fish Pond :)
Uploaded: February 06, 2008
Captured quite by accident in a small fish pond :) I thought it showed the yin/yang of things, even in a fish pod!

It's funny reading this description now Jayme, because in thinking about the "low-dynamic-range black and white" "rock" you threw the other day, I was pondering what would be an overly simplified example of that. The first thing that came to mind was the classic yin/yang B&W drawing. While this image was nearly there in terms of the position of the subjects, the multi-dimensional quality you've captured here is wonderful. The black stones at the top and the water plants at the bottom-left balance well together with the vividly colored Koi in their respective positions. The small amount of motion blur gives the viewer the sense of a dance going on between the two.Jayme S. Hall February 22, 2008
Thanks Michael- It was an image caught on the fly at a huge Art show :) #5530821Candice L. Carter February 28, 2008
I love the way you did this Jayme, because I have been trying to figure out how to take a picture of my fish in my little pond! Great editing. #5567067Jayme S. Hall February 28, 2008
Just one little trick.. use a circular polarizer. It clears the water from glare :) #5567162Irene Colling May 07, 2008
Great shot with wonderful effects. An all around excellent image. I particularily like how the comma ahaped orange fish contrast/compliment with the dark water swirls. #5897653Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
