Robert, We're not from Florida, but what they tell me around here confirms what you said. Several people have told me I was lucky to get the shots. They are doing controlled burns to try to re-establish suitable scrub areas. #5434691

Steven, it is such a coincidence re your post here re the jay and the burns. I just uploaded a "message" photo titled "Species Preservation--Space Exploration" that specifically addresses the prescribed burns and the effort to save the jay.
