Baggage Claim, Sacramento

Uploaded: December 27, 2007

Description

I added a posterize filter to an image that I took at baggage claim at the Sacramento Airport. They have piles of baggage stacked to the ceiling to make some type of baggage sculpture statement.

Great shot and very nice effects on it, Justin. I can see why it got an EP as well as why it's a favorite of yours. Good luck. #5367112

Justin, this is a fabulous image! First, the subject, then the comp, then the effects! Poster edges is perfect! I went to a music festival this summer and took a photo of instrument cases stacked up--similar to your photo but not half as good. My fingers are crossed for a winner's badge on this one--it deserves it! #5369077

Fun Justin, I have walked by this sculpture about 100 times, you sure captured it well! Love it, nice work.

Greetings Justin! What can I say about a gallery of hundreds of wonderful images? I am totally envious of your mastery of strong colors and bold abstracts. I also marvelled at all the places you had been, ME, AZ, TX, CA, OR, DC, UT, NV, Australia and I have probably missed some- it has made me realise I must get out more!. Love the landscapes and abstracts and anything with a boat in it really gets to me.
So why have I chosen an art installation of a pile of battered luggage to make specific comments on? Well, I am married to a professional artist and I live among bizarre objects that fill every horizontal surface. And yes, that includes ancient suitcases and hat-boxes that live on top of bookcases and under coffee tables. So, the pile of cases at Sac.confirms that there are other nutters in this world! #7318919
