Intimidating II
Uploaded: November 30, 2007
Taken at Cades Cove last winter. They were trying to release wolves back into the wild and they began interbreed with the coyotes so they captured the wolves and moved them somewhere else but there are still some of these crossbreeds running around and this was one I just HAPPENED to catch! Actually HE was VERY curious about me and kept as close an eye on me as I him! I wonder if he just needed a good petting or a good 'attack'! ;) Adjusted levels to make him stand out more as someone suggested and used my D&B tool.

Wow, such a great capture Dianna! He is so beautiful, and what a look he is giving you! I have never seem one, and rarely any bears either, although I remember the days when I was young when we saw so many bears. I wish I had known more about photography and had a better camera when I was living 45 min from Pigeon Forge! I spent many a day driving around enjoying all the beauty. Justin and I would stay a night or two in Sevierville about once or twice a month at one of the motels on the river. #5189565Dianna Hauf December 10, 2007
Please forgive my lateness in responding as I have been away! Will catch up so please be patient with me!Thanks so much Sam! I think he is too but the rangers do NOT like them out there. :(
Thank you Cassie!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks so much Jeana!
Hi Carol!!! Yes, that look was pretty steady the entire time I was there taking pictures of him!!! Wish I knew what was going through his mind! ;) We were told that the bear population is coming back ...2 bear per square mile now and they are pretty wild so you don't see them as readily as you would a few years ago when they were eating a lot of people food! I thought that was great! Last year I did see a mama and her cub. Maybe I will post them. NOw...if only they can save those gorgeous Hemlocks!!! I think I wouldn't mind living out around Townsend or Maryville if I could find a really reasonable and nice place for Sara to grow up in! It truly is a wonderful place, isn't it??? I am glad you and I could share a deep appreciation of this place!!! Thanks so much! #5192242
