Blue Curls

Uploaded: August 29, 2004

Description

Sigma 50mm F2.8 Macro, Fuji Velvia 100. Eastern Blue Curls. This tiny 1cm in bloom flower appeared to be very artistic. I wanted to catch the curls in this picture and some elements of its bud. I set a shallow f/4.8 aperture to 1/500sec. This image was scanned with a slide scanner at 96dpi 1800x1215pix. I resized this image by cropping a vertical 957x364pix at 72dpi canvas, some blur effect applied to the background.
