Description

I got this shot at my Dad's house on Vancouver Island in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada. The Hummers are so used to people that some of them will let you come close enough for a shot like this...No zoom used here!

OH...MY....WORD!!!!! Marta, hon, this is fantastic!!! Excellent details, close up and composition and lighting and the whole shabang! It is a 'wow' image! Aren't they just too beautiful??? My mother has many of them at her house as well and one day one got a little too close to a garden spider's web and got caguht in it! I about broke my neck getting to it before it went into shock! Holding that tiny precious thing in my hand was a most memorable and unforgettable experience!!!

Hope all is well with you and hubby is home safely now? VERY busy week last week. Looking forward to cactching up on emails!!! HUGS!!!! #5060194

Thank you so much Lonnie! They are very hard to capture!

Oh my D...That must have been quite an experience!!! You are such a kind soul to save that poor little creature. But that doesn't surprise me!!! Thank you very much for another wonderful compliment.

All is well. I just saw my husband off to Yakima like I do every Monday morning. He's working four 10 hr days and comes home every Thursday night. The job will probably be over after the first of the year. I too, have been really busy and, by Thanksgiving, will have worked 15 days in a row! I need a vacation!!! Hope you and your family are well. Hope to talk to you soon about the SSS shootout! XOXOX #5061881
