wonderful comp here Pam... really like the shape the wings give with the reflection... like the color cast really seems to pull my eye right to the subject matter...

Thanks, Jill! This is one of my favorite shots... I was following this loon as it swam back and forth for quite a while before it so nicely posed for me. This is the shot that really advanced my interest in photography as more than just ID pictures.

Hi Pam, I love the movement of the loon, the shadow and the colors! I am not so fond of the composition, I am thinking you could crop some off the top and left to make him a little more in the off center for more interest. That is just one oppinion though. #883450

Thanks, Peggy. I purposely broke the rule of thirds with this one because I liked the way his wings and the reflection seemed to point to the corners of the photo. Maybe I'll crop a little to make the bird a larger part of the picture, but I'm sort of partial to the centered version. I'll play with it a post some different variations.
