Thanks, Jill! This is one of my favorite shots... I was following this loon as it swam back and forth for quite a while before it so nicely posed for me. This is the shot that really advanced my interest in photography as more than just ID pictures.Pam #721119

Hi Pam, I love the movement of the loon, the shadow and the colors! I am not so fond of the composition, I am thinking you could crop some off the top and left to make him a little more in the off center for more interest. That is just one oppinion though. #883450Pamela K November 01, 2004
Thanks, Peggy. I purposely broke the rule of thirds with this one because I liked the way his wings and the reflection seemed to point to the corners of the photo. Maybe I'll crop a little to make the bird a larger part of the picture, but I'm sort of partial to the centered version. I'll play with it a post some different variations.Pam #884132
