Thanks Margie. I was mesmorized by the scope of your gallery. The variety and quality is outstanding. It's exposure to quality that I see constantly on BetterPhoto that keeps me learning. Dale #5012493

Dale, I wish my answer was less mundane but the quacking dog was the funniest picture on the Member "Mini-Pic Selector" page. Well that, and I like ducks...

"Quacked me up"... Nice! -Lionel #5014056

Thanks Chuck. Hope to be back in your neck of the woods before too long on my 5th trip to Branson. Maybe you can show me a few good photo sites while there. Dale #5014730

I've seen lots of pencil shots on BP, but this is surely the most original. Great composition, color and detail also. #6009882

Thank you so much Marisol. I'm so glad you commented and gave me an opportunity to visit your gallery. What a grand time I had. I love bold graphic design and you have a marvelous collection. Have only had time for a cursory examination but will put it in my favorites column so I can examine it in detail later. Dale #6010159

The tour through your gallery has been amazing. I am struck by the simplicity of this and yet the profundity is quite pointed !! (I think this is the right word...it's late here, or early maybe I should say). We photographers can take beautiful pictures of just about everything, everyday things that are seemingly "pointless" but stunning, nonetheless. This is a beautiful macro, Dale! #6621149

You're too kind Debbie. There's a story behind this image. I was quite new to photography and gravitated to a photo forum that catered to the Sony camera.

While there I met a mentor from Canada that I still communicate with regularly and he challenged, and guided me, to try using the camera in macro mode. Thus the series of pencil shots came about.

I must admit that I'm pleased with the title. Bound to get something right once in awhile. #6622404
