Description

Example of "Two Thirds Foreground"

I have been working on getting a good image of this leaning tree for 3 years and think I finally have one worthy of keeping. The colors where there for a very brief amount of time and was only to make 4 exposures before the color was gone.

Technical Notes:
Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L at a focal length of 18mm

ISO 100 f/22 @ 10s(Exposure for the Sky)

ISO 100 f/22 @ 30s(Exposure for the Foreground Tree)

I handheld a 3 Stop Split ND for both images and combined them in PS CS3 using a layer mask to reveal the sky.

Exif: F Number: 22, Exposure Bias Value: +0, Exposure Time: 10/1, Flash: flash did not fire, ISO: 100, White Balance: auto white balance, Focal Length: 18mm, Camera Model: Canon EOS-1Ds Mark II
