I tried to send this message when I sent the photo.
I was walking back from photographing fly fisherman in the AuSable River in Michigan and came upon this flower in the forest. It is only 3/4" to 1" long and it stood all by itself in shade. I used a 70-300 lens on a my Nikon D100.

Does anyone know the name of this species?
