Interesting image Tracy and I am right with you there Joan. One of the "Perils of Pauline" movies had Pauline tied to some railroad tracks while the speeding express train bore down on her. This was probably the closing scene to make sure you returned the following week to see the next episode. These movies were made c. 1914 so I make no claim to have seen the originals!
