Thanks Dominick, Caroyln, and Philippe for your nice comments.

I'm quite certain that this month's theme of "Beautiful Blur" will attract many of the great macro shooters who post here at BP.
(...BTW, the competition has ALWAYS been high here and that's what makes it fun.)

Pin-point selective focus (intentional blur) comes easy when extremes in macro or super-telephoto are applied due to the limited depth of field.

The primary point of interest of this latest concoction (...an eye of newt), was the main "ingredient" so it had to be tack-sharp.
A wide aperture setting allowed the rest of the scene to simply fall into place.
