Very nicely done Carol, I really like the effects that your selective coloring has on the over all image..Gary O #642496Donna J. Taff July 11, 2004
Great image, Carol!!!! Would you or somebody tell me how to do selective coloring. I have Elements and have tried to do this and so far I am lost. You need to tell me how like you are explaining it to a 5 year old because when it come's to element's I totally don't understand anything!!!!!! #642516Jessica McCollam July 11, 2004
Well composed! Love this, Carol!!! #642584Carol Engstrom July 11, 2004
Thanks for the kind comments, Jessica, Donna, Gary, Carolyn, Stephen, Diane, Charlene, and bill. :-) These flowers were at the beach and had sand all over them. I thought that gave the white petals an unusual look I kind of liked after I had removed the color.Donna--I don't know how other people do this, but this is what I did.
I used duplicate image (under image on the menu) to make another copy of the photo, then using remove color made it B&W (under enhance image, adjust color, remove color on the menu). Used the move tool to move the b&W image on top of the color image, and used the eraser tool to erase the areas where I wanted the color to show through. Let me know if I haven't explained it clearly or if you have questions. :-) #642601
