Tourists!
Uploaded: August 17, 2007
Those tourists always spoil a good shot :-) Taken in the Reed Flute Cave in Guilin, China. This is the underground lake and a very popular place for tourists to take photos of each other. (Monthly Theme).
Nikon D50 18-70mm.

This looks like an amazing place, Peter! Beautiful capture! #4663374Peter R. Hammer August 18, 2007
Thanks Joan, Alexis and Bambi for your comments. The Chinese didn't spare the electricity when lighting this cave. It was possible to shoot some of the formations (not this one though) without a tripod! Amazing cave and superbly lit. #4664400Emile Abbott August 19, 2007
Peter, To begin with I did not recognize the tourist until you mentioned them. Just another formation. But the one taking the photograph could put this in the monthly (uniquely). Personally I think this is a most awesome capture with the illumination, formation, reflections and presentation. A fantastic capture. None the less sometime tourist are a pest to photographers. #4669899Peter R. Hammer August 19, 2007
Thanks Emile. You do have to look for the photographer in the image. I do have a few other of this wonderful spot but without the tourists. They can be a pain at times. The reflections are so good that it is hard to work out which way round a print is. #4670013RC Fritz August 21, 2007
