David, Great shot! Funny I was doing the same thing a month ago. Nothing came out as good as this. Couldnt get a good angle in my sink with the CD. Here are some with no CD #632640

In fact the pics you posted are pretty much the same as mine, except for the CD & light effects. And also, I used a macro lens.
To get a good angle, you just have to put the CD higher. You can put it on a glass of some sort for example.
I'll try to post a farther pic of my setup.
