Kerry, this is fabulous! The curve of the shoreline, the sweet light--great. It's as if this were the West Coast equivalent of my beloved Rhode Island coastline. Not only do we have Nikon in common, but Fuji Velvia as well; that was always my film of choice. My son's first "serious" camera was a Nikon FM2; he still has it. I remember his godfather trying to talk him out of it; no 18-year-old could be that serious about photography that they'd buy a fully manual SLR. Hah! #1290189

Hi Nancy,
Glad that you like the photo! It's one of my favorites that I've taken along the Marin County coast ... the high perspective and the beautiful late light.

Great story about your son and his first serious camera. :-)

Yes, Velvia was my film of choice from when it first came out (around 1990) until I switched to digital in '05.

Also, for my first couple of books in the '90s, my camera was the FM2!

Thanks for checking in, Nancy - much appreciated!!
