Thank you Emily, William, SuSana, Rachel and Sherri!!! Really, my hands aren't that steady. What I did was pull my elbows in close in front of me, brace them on my tummy, pulling the camera to about chin height 6-8 inches away from face, then pull head down and forward to use viewfinder. As long as you don't breathe, ha, ha, then this pretty much turns you into a human tripod. #4492359

Gorgeous image with wonderful effect!
Apart from your great tripod alternative technique, you got to have very strong and steady hands to get such an image at 3 sec. exposure, which you certainly have,Alexis! :-)
