I saw this Gopher turtle while at work and gave him a treat. As you can see, he loved it!

SUPER photo Liz. I love it. How great you gave him a treat, the red strawberry really adds to this.Elizabeth A. Marker June 15, 2007

Thank you Dianna!! Your just jealous because the turtle doesn't want to share his berry! He, He... #4401605Derek D. Dafoe June 16, 2007
Very nice photo Elizabeth!! We don't have land tortises here in Ontario Canada, I enjoy seeing wildlfe from other regions!! #4402462Elizabeth A. Marker June 17, 2007
Thank you Derek! I too love the wild animals! I'm sure you have some very interesting wildlife in Ontario, Canada! #4406950Carol Teal June 17, 2007
Great image Elizabeth! The berry really brightens up the image being the grass and the tortoise are both brown. I took a photo of the gopher that lives across the street from us and got the same brn grass and brn tortoise, but he had one tiny sprig of grass in his mouth, not quite as colorful as your berry! I really like these tortoises, and I am always helping them get safely across the street! #4406994Joerg Schlagheck June 18, 2007
Love this shot, Elizabeth. Good thing you always carry the camera and know how to use it so well! I'm from Ontario, Canada also and can confirm Dereks observation. We do have little sea turles though and you kind of gave me some ideas...;) #4407450Elizabeth A. Marker June 19, 2007
Good morning!! Thank you Carol & Joerg!Joerg Schlagheck June 19, 2007
Hey Elizabeth, a two hour drive to the golf shores does not seem so bad! Those little sea turtles I was mentioning are about that far from our house. We have a little cabin up north by a lake called "Turtle Lake" . It's paradise, but we hardly ever get to go, because we're too busy. That's life! You too have a great day! #4414612Elizabeth A.
