Serenity Prayer
Uploaded: May 24, 2007
Congratulations to all my BP friends who are finalists this month, and good luck in the next round! To those of us that didn't make it this month, I dedicate this image to you - with the additional thought that there is always next month!
Sigma 50mm f2.8 EX DG lens; 1/100; ISO 320; f20; circular polarizing filter.

A truly beautiful image, Ron and this is a particular favorite prayer of mine!! #661468Ronald F. Fischer May 24, 2007
Thank you very much, Judy! It is one of my favorites as well, and the brown tilled soil served as the perfect backdrop for the prayer! #4326169Husain Akhtar May 25, 2007
Great pano and thoughts, Ron! I think BP judges do need this prayer before they start and finish their commercial work!!Ronald F. Fischer May 25, 2007
Thank you very much Husain! I did use a circular polarizing filter on the lens for this image. No post processing work was done on the image. This is straight from the camera, other than a very slight bit of cropping! #4328151John Connolly May 25, 2007

A lovely photo, with a beautiful thought! Please remember that contests are just for fun, not anything to take to heart! Your work is fabulous, you do not need a judge to tell you so!ccc #4332132

Beautiful image and presentation!! #4332168Ronald F. Fischer May 26, 2007
Thank you very much Candice and Terri! Candice, my message wasn't intended to be critical about the BP judges. Any photography contest is going to be subjective. My message was intended to convey what you said best, that the contest is for fun and not to get stressed about if none of your photographs are selected as finalists. I have always said that BP is an awesome site where photographers of all levels of talent can share their images and make friends around the world. That is worth far more than whether one is a finalist/winner in the contest. #4332364Kristi A. Howson May 26, 2007
Such a beautiful scene you've captured perfectly and one of my favorite quotes to go along with it. #4333227Ronald F. Fischer May 26, 2007

This is a great photo Ronald, while I love the words, hope you resubmit it without the words as I believe it is a winner. #4340802Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
