Grand Canyon Sunset - North Rim, AZ.

Uploaded: April 18, 2004

Description

This was a time exposure with aperture at f45 using my 4x5 field camera. A technique I often use to enhance a subject such as a landscape is by deliberate distortion. I focus on the far, but instead of tilting my lens forward, I tilt the rear standard toward me which creates a looming appearance and a sense of depth and presence. Notice the boulders directly in front of the camera. They appear to loom. Film was 4x5 Ektachrome Sheet ISO 100D
