Description

I am sure this was a favorite of a young woman at one time....it was taken in an antique shop in Virginia.

Great photo, Gail! I love that antique lace! When we went to the vintage car club picnics and dressed for the Roaring 20's I found out just how popular this old stuff really is! And pricy! They did make gorgeous things back then. I also love the lighting here! #4064875

Gail, this had me imagining a laughing young woman doing the Charleston, so off I went on an AOL search... Here's one reference:
"The Charleston: a back-kicking dance of the 1920s that originated in Charleston, South Carolina, and became a US craze following the musical "Runnin' Wild"(1923)...."
Ya learn something new every day!
Thanks for the inspiration from your wonderful find and capture! #4065496
