Irina Kotikova 3/16/2007 12:34:13 PM

Lovely photos! I like this one especially for its subtlety, but your effects inspire me to use a photoshop...

Cary Rogers 3/16/2007 8:43:48 PM

Thank you Irina! Sometimes I just like to take an "okay" shot and use it to "experiment" with---to see where it takes me. #4062642

Wes C. Bond 3/24/2007 5:57:22 PM

Your pictures are great..I love scenery photos. The simplicity of it is amazing, somthing I try to capture in every picture I take!! ( and thanks for the comment on mine too =D) #4093513

Cary Rogers 3/24/2007 6:25:58 PM

Thank you Wes! And WELCOME to the BP community! I was driving a friend back to town when I pulled off onto the narrow shoulder of the highway, to take this photo. It was the tree that initially drew my attention; I hadn't even "seen" the fence until I uploaded the photo onto my computer! Thanks again!

Jeannette Katzir 4/20/2007 11:41:46 AM

One of the things I want most is to catch a shot that creates tranquiliity, You did it beautifully. #4190917

Cary Rogers 4/20/2007 11:52:39 AM

Well, thank you, Jeannette! I appreciate your comment. Apparently, this image "speaks" to a lot of people in different ways. #4190953

Cary Rogers 1/20/2008 9:03:03 AM

Thanks for stopping by, Michael, and thanks for your comment! This image is not one of my all-time personal favorites---because of the sense of isolation---but, apparently it speaks to a lot of other people. thanks again #5366934

Laura E. Swan level-deluxe 2/11/2008 11:29:26 PM

Perfect Title. Makes me want to go out and but the cottonwood a little pal and plant it next to him. Even the fence and land look lonely. Great mood invoker.

Cary Rogers 2/12/2008 9:57:11 AM

Hi, Laura....welcome aboard...and thank you! Although I am not a "tree-hugger" per se....this cottonwood looked like it COULD use a "hug." ;-) thanks again for stopping by~! #5484650

Beautiful composition!

Cary Rogers 8/16/2008 3:23:42 PM

Thanks for viewing my gallery, and for leaving me your comments on this image, Vikram. There is something about this image that "speaks" to a lot of people... #6322335

Joni Earley 10/16/2008 6:34:38 AM

Yes, this image "speaks" to me as well! Beautiful comp and contrasts.
Before it got to be so busy I loved driving Indiana St. and gazing out at the arsenal lands and the deer with the foothills in the background. I'm glad it's still open and inspiring though, and we still drive that route but usually can't take our time like we used to before all the traffic! #6608244

Cary Rogers 10/16/2008 12:08:15 PM

Thank you for your great comments, Joni! I took this shot on Hwy 93, not too far from the old arsenal entrance. In certain scenic areas, I think they should have "photographer-only" lanes on the highways and main roadways! ;-) Thanks again for stopping by and commenting! #6609745

Joni Earley 10/16/2008 1:15:42 PM

Yea..."Pray for me, I drive Hiway 93!" Still some great vistas if you can hang out the window of the car and shoot as you pass by! #6610066
