ISO 800, f2.8, shutter speed 1/125 Cannon EF 70-200mm lens, manual focus, no in camera sharpness, contrast etc, flourecent light white balance adjustment. Grain adjusted with DPP during import. Lightened in Photoshop Elements 4.0. Focal length 200mm. Monopod used

Nicely balanced composition, Karen. That touch of motion blur in the toe is a plus. A crop to exclude everything below the beam might be worthwhile, as would cloning out the out-of-focus element against the beam along with the distracting elements against the left and top edges. The line that uts ger in half could go, too.
I don't understand your note "Grain adjusted with DPP..." ~ I take it you are referring to noise, but Digital Photo Pro doesn't have a noise adjustment, filtering, blur or sharpness capacity. #581983

Your right, I meant noise. I've got to get this terminology right!

In the DPP version I have, you can set your preferences on import to adjust photos for noise (specifically luminance and chromiance) with choices of none, low and high. I have seen, however, that once the photos are imported you can change the preferences and see the noise level change.

The photo is much improved - I like what you have done. I'm starting to see that getting the shot is only half of the job!
