The Pole Dancer
Uploaded: December 26, 2006
This sequence of images was taken with Canon 5D at ISO 200, F/5, 1/160 sec with 1+ exposure and warming filter added. This pole was left after we dismantled our first camp at Gordon Point and this young sub-adult was very curious. He appeared to be dancing with the pole so I called this sequence "The Pole Dancer"
and it is presented to get us ready for the festive New Years Eve.

Glad you have enjoyed the captures, James. They are such awesome creatures and to bad they will not be around much longer due to Global Warming. Best estimates are 40 to 50 years at the longest for this Ice mammal. #3811433Jenny D January 12, 2007

This series is as cute as a month-old baby's smile, Emile! Love the title, too. Polar bears look almost as sweet as mantees, but the bears have teeth and claws... #10471616Emile Abbott December 20, 2012
