Descent of the Leaf Spirit

Uploaded: November 29, 2006 16:40:55

Description

11/29/06, Miyazu, Japan. From my garden. A leaf from a Japanese maple, hanging by a thin strand of spider web. Extreme departures from the norm are usually a sure sign of extreme frustration with my editing. This incident had a happy ending--I like my Leaf Spirit! Maybe she helped me....

Susan
This is beautiful. Simplicity and great form - very much something I would expect to see in Japan. #3674120

I expected haiku to accompany this well-thought out image. #3757316

Wow, I'm humbled.

Twirling on thread light
Sheer grace caught in mid-descent
But where is she now?

How's that? Truth be told, I goofed on this series. This leaf was twirling in the breeze and I was so intent on catching it in the few occasional moments of stillness, I forgot about composition and in almost every shot had it right smack in the middle. #3758113
