Description

One year old male lion bask in the morning sun as mom sits quietly in the shadows. This male and his three sisters will soon depart their home at the Fort Worth Zoo to start new lives at other zoos. This was the mom's 2nd and last litter (5 girls + 1 boy total) with the same father.

Canon 100 - 400L IS at 320mm. ISO 250, late morning light, 1/100th @ f8.0, EC -1.0 (I used the fence for a tripod to compensate for the slow shutter).
