Hi, John....I've been reading your articles on lighting. This is a very nice shot. I just got a digitalSLR and I still like film though!!! Thanks so much for sharing the article on strobes and also your beautiful exposures!!!

Hi Mary,
Thanks for your comments about this shot. I made this image a few years ago with 4X5 film. The really fun thing about this image was the lens: it was made with a hand assembled soft focus lens. Thank you John, need all the help I can get. I made a long exp. with my film camera in the dark painting with a flashlight and was really surprised and liked the outcome. Also LOVE soft focus!!! MaryLL. #5574596

Hi Mary,
I still have a number of specialized tools for light painting. Among the best was the Kodak Slide Projector. Check out this article: www.siskinphoto.com/magazine2a.html. Projectors are an excellent way of controlling light!
