Photo notes
One of my many ongoing projects involves photographing graphic designs at car shows - bold colors, strong lines, abstracts, etc. In other words, I seek out tight compositions, rather than overall scenes that often include very busy and very distracting backgrounds. On this particular day, my photo goal was actually a "project within a project" - not detail shots in general, but car reflections in particular :-)
As I emphasize in my classes, I find that "self-assignments" are a valuable way to keep my shooting eye sharp and to help find good subjects even when I'm not necessarily in a creative frame of mind. And, most importantly for me, self-projects are fun too! #5268366
